Hi! My name’s Catherine Jordan [Cat], and I’m the girl behind bFit bFearless!

I am a recent graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and working towards a career in global health education.

The thing about having a degree in the health field is everyone you know and their mother asks you constant questions about health and medical issues! “I have some pain here, what do you think it is?” “Is my shoulder suppose to creak and pop like this?” “My uncle just had hip surgery, what’s some good post-op instructions?” My initial reaction was to scream internally, “I’m not that kind of doctor!

Then it hit me, what seemed like common sense to me after years of classes, presentations, and internships, was completely new to some people. I decided I wanted a platform where I could share this information through workouts, recipes, academic information, and motivational posts. And here we all are now, at b(Squared!)

I never imagined I would be a blogger: I don’t wear glasses, I haven’t perfected the messy bun, and I don’t drink coffee. Then I realized, I was already blogging inside my head! I was constantly commentating my daily life in my mind; during a challenging workout, trying out a new recipe, or trying to salvage a botched makeup attempt, and turns out, I get a certain thrill sharing these ideas with others.

I’m your typical college graduate looking to find her way in the world, breaking up the anxiety of post-grad life with as many hikes into the mountains as possible and dark chocolate. I believe food is our best medicine, a little faith can go a long ways, and adventure is best with a buddy.

I’m not perfect in any sense of the word. Yes, I have acne. No, I’m not a size two. Yes, I ugly sweat during my workouts. I’m still working on accepting myself for who I am, but have come a long way in the past year. My biggest wish with bFit bFearless is to help others on their journey to living healthy. If I could give just one person confidence about how they look or inspire someone to live fit and fearless by sharing my stories, it would all be worth it.

So here I am, armed with my Bruce Springsteen Pandora station and a giant mug of green tea, ready to share all my tips and tricks on living fit, as well as some occassional comedic relief! I hope you join me on this crazy experience, and let’s enjoy the ride!
